ELENA JUATCO

Elena Juatco is an actress and singer who plays Jann Arden's cut-throat manager Cale on Hulu & CTV's #1 comedy, JANN. Elena made her debut in the industry as a Top 6 finalist on Canadian Idol and has since built up a vast resumé in theatre, film and television which includes roles in Schitt's Creek (Netflix/CBC), Hudson & Rex (CityTV), Open Heart (Nickelodeon/YTV), Kodachrome (Netflix), Killjoys (SyFy), Spotlight, and Repo! The Genetic Opera among others. Next, Elena will appear in the thriller Escape The Field as well as in Jo Koy's highly-anticipated comedy with Amblin Entertainment, Easter Sunday, where she will play Jo's sister Regina.

 

Notable stage performances include her Jessie Award-winning turn in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at the Vancouver Playhouse, Foreigner's Jukebox Hero at the Ed Mirvish Theatre, Mirvish's Kinky Boots at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, and Cameron Macintosh's 25th Anniversary Production of Les Misérables at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto where she understudied Éponine.

 

Elena is a mentor for young artists, serving as the Creative Facilitator with SExT: Sex Education by Theatrea nationally-touring theatre company and program that educates youth on topics surrounding sexuality and healthy relationships. She made her directorial debut with two music videos which address consent and intimate partner violence in partnership with the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR).

 

Elena released her debut album of original songs "Beyond This Line"  in 2015, which streams worldwide on all digital platforms.

 

Elena currently resides in Toronto with her husband Brendan and their adorable German Shepherd-mix rescue dog, Sampson.
